Canvas Project

Comments

  1. Your canvas is so cute. It looks like a robot or some other type of creature but I think you did a really great job on this. I think it's amazing to see how you can use such simple looking shapes, layer them on top of each other and align them in a way that it creates something so much bigger and more complex. Great job!

  2. I still remember seeing this project for the first time and being amazed! You achieved perfect symmetry which is very difficult in Dreamweaver, I know from experience. The color scheme used in this piece is very consistent and appealing to the eye. I especially notice the layers used which adds depth and dimensions to the entire image.

Final Portfolio

This is my final portfolio. I really enjoyed creating all sorts of unique projects on different types of software. Coming into this class, I had no experience with Adobe and editing, and now I feel pretty comfortable creating my own digital projects. I'd like to thank professor Roundtree for helping me learn and giving me feedback on my work so that I can further improve my creative works, and excel in my career path.

Portrait

This self portrait is made up of various filled in shapes and lines created with the pen tool. I decided to make myself with various colors rather than the traditional, more realistic colors. I individually drew out the lines in my hair and my eyelashes. I added the stars in the background to make the overall image more appealing. This piece took a while to create because there were so many layers that were added to add details, face features, etc. I added the words "She's got the power" to suggest that this is a feminist poster. To the left is the image I used as the reference.

Adobe Color Photoshop

This project took several hours to create, and it was pretty demanding considering that we had to make 6 versions of the drawing, but I really liked the end result. My favorite color palette was probably the compound shades.
